Modern otorhinolaryngology is a highly specialized and, at the same time, diverse field of medicine, focusing on the diagnostics and treatment of diseases, the consequences of injuries, abnormalities and dysfunctions of the ENT organs. In particular, the subject of research and therapy are acute and chronic disease of nose, paranasal sinuses, allergic diseases of the upper respiratory tract (nasopharynx, oropharynx and trachea), ear diseases, including hearing impairment, sudden hearing loss, tinnitus, dizziness.

Preventive examinations aimed at cancer prophylaxis play an essential role in ENT screening. Laryngeal cancer is the most common type of malignant tumors of the upper respiratory tract. Cancer of the oral cavity and pharynx holds the 6th place in prevalence according to the statistics of oncological diseases, and in men – the 4th place. These types of malignant tumors develop relatively slowly and therefore remain undetected for a long time. Whereas, the detection of these oncological diseases at early stages, within the preventive diagnostics provides a relatively high chances for a complete cure.

The most modern methods of ENT diagnostics are used in the PRADUS health diagnostics center. Such technologies as Fowler, Sisi, Carhart etc. allow to measure the eardrum vibrations, as well as the evaluation of the functions of the Eustachian tube; the study of subcortical auditory evoked potentials determine the level and quality of sound signals perception by the subcortical structures of the brain via analyzing the bioelectric responses. Of course, all standard methods of diagnostic imaging, in particular, radiological and ultrasound examinations of head and neck area, are an integral part of the preventive ENT screening in the PRADUS center.
